Ingredients (large-bt)
☘ 250 gms – fish fillet or whole fish
☘ 1 tbsp – sesame oil
☘ 1 tbsp – ginger, cut into thin long strips
☘ 1 tbsp – garlic, finely chopped
☘ 1 piece – star anise
☘ 2 tsp – soya sauce
☘ 1 spring – spring onion, finely sliced
☘ 100 ml – water
☘ To taste salt
☘ ½ tsp – pepper powder
☘ 1 tsp – corn flour
Method (large-bt)
1) In a shallow glass bowl, pour the sesame oil and microwave on medium power for 10 seconds.
2) Remove the bowl, and add in ginger, garlic, star anise, soya sauce, half the spring onion, water and pepper.
3) Microwave on medium power for 15 seconds.
4) Add the fish fillet or whole fish, mix well and microwave again on medium power for 6 minutes.
5) Remove the fish fillet or whole fish from the bowl and mix corn flour paste and salt into the sauce and microwave for about 40 seconds or till the sauce thickens.
6) Serve hot garnished with remaining spring onions.
